Drawing from her fair share of challenges and learnings in the corporate world, Christine Michelle Reyes believes that sheer willpower and determination are not the sole drivers for work success, especially when you are a woman. For her, it takes a healthy environment with ample room for development, equal treatment, and fair opportunities given, so one can succeed and get the recognition they deserve.
In her present role as the Technical Regulatory Manager of Amway Philippines, Christine shares her journey of growth, empowerment, and fulfillment— the very qualities she values in a workplace:
“I've spent my last decade with a growing career in Amway Philippines. As the Technical Regulatory Manager, I ensure regulatory compliance with our products and lead the initiatives on market-assigned global product registrations. This position also requires me to provide technical and scientific support when needed and represent the company in matters involving government agencies, health and trade associations, and other professional organizations.
Reflecting on my time here, there are several milestones that I feel sincerely grateful for. For instance, there was the groundbreaking launch of our new brand, eSpring™, in 2015. As a newbie, not only did I carry on such an important project but also the huge expectations of pulling it off. Thanks to Amway Philippines putting its faith in me, I earned the courage to always do my best, overcome hardships, and succeed.
In 2018, I was again entrusted with a great responsibility during the local release of another brand called XS™ Energy Drink. Although my colleagues and I struggled a lot from starting in a clean state to encountering setbacks during the process, perseverance and the power of teamwork are what got us through.
Four years later, I was promoted to my current position, which was a moment of pride and accomplishment after a period of hard work. Although I have been given a bigger obligation, I feel at ease knowing I am supported by a company that hones your talent and grows your passion regardless of gender. It’s a place where learning doesn’t stop, a place where I can thrive.
Through my achievements in Amway Philippines, I became more confident and empowered as a woman. Its commitment to encourage people towards healthier living is something that makes me happy, because it perfectly aligns with my values of helping others have flourishing lives.
I advise other women striving for success to just follow their dreams but never compromise well-being. Brace for the challenge, stay grounded, and choose a place that makes you feel positive.
Looking ahead, I plan to continue my journey with Amway Philippines. I value the opportunity for career growth and professional development, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.”
